About the role:
As a result of growing demands for our award-winning range of Generators, BESS & Power Distribution systems, we are seeking Principal / Senior Engineers to join our team. The post will suit an individual looking for an opportunity to develop their career within a fast-paced organisation at the cutting edge of off highway vehicle, Power Generation design and development.
You will play a key role in designing & delivering the next generation power products using the latest Diesel, Hydrogen, Battery Electric & Power Distribution technologies.
What does this role involve day to day?
· Creation of models and drawings of components and systems for use on machines using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
· Compiling documentation and data for production release of components and systems through Teamcenter.
· Managing offshore design work.
· Working closely with our Test & Development team to understand and improve machine performance.
· Estimating the cost of components and assemblies.
· Participating in DFMEA and Risk Assessment on new and changed designs.
· Taking part in engineering problem solving activities including 8D and the use of other related methods.
· Producing documentation demonstrating design compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Providing direct support for manufacturing, assembly and quality functions for problem investigation and resolution, including the use of 8D and other problem-solving methodologies.
· Work with Quality, Manufacturing & Purchasing teams to deliver NPI requirements and help resolve production / supply chain challenges
This will be suited to you if
· Have a positive can-do attitude and ability to drive projects forward
· You have relevant experience and can work independently, applying engineering first principles to develop robust solutions.
· You hold a qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, with strong attention to detail and a data-driven mindset.
· You're confident working under pressure, managing deadlines, and planning work effectively
· You can communicate clearly and concisely across all levels.
· You have experience working with a 3D CAD package (Siemens NX preferred)
· You’re able to work effectively as part of a team
· Ability to work with Microsoft Office, NX and Teamcenter
· Have working knowledge / experience of one or more of the below area’s
· Engine installations
· Cooling Systems
· Air management
· Fabrications
· Water Ingress / sealing systems
· Tooled steel & non steel manufacturing methods
