why Jcb

JCB is a family-owned company that has enjoyed huge success and expansion, growing from one man building agricultural equipment to a global brand. The company is still privately owned by the Bamford family and the present Chairman is Lord Bamford, the eldest son of Joseph Cyril Bamford CBE.

Today, JCB has 22 plants on four continents manufacturing more than 300 products. It's an amazing British success story and one that couldn't have come about if it hadn't been for our people.

JCB people are at the heart of our business, constantly driving the business forward and amazing us with their incredible ideas that result in our industry-leading innovations. Our founder, Joseph Cyril Bamford, always talked about a 'sense of urgency' and being 'never content'. JCB people have this 'can do' attitude and know that only the highest standards are acceptable. It's how they continue to play such a crucial role in our ongoing success.

Our Culture

The JCB culture is well known in our Industry. It’s centred on teamwork, delivering on our promises and living up to the heritage and expectations of the JCB Brand. Everything we do and everything we create is within a culture of excellence and teamwork, where everyone is valued and no detail is left overlooked.

Our way of working

The JCB Brand began life on a wave of innovation and has never stopped! There is a momentum here that everyone notices when they start work with us - a commitment to almost zen-like detail and innovation that makes us pioneers in our markets. It’s this excellence and ability to focus on what matters as a team, that makes JCB extraordinary place to work.

teamwork

The ‘team’ is central to everything we do. You can see it exercised in our open plan offices, the way everyone feels part of the machine, the contribution everyone makes to our success, no matter how small and the way we grow and nurture our internal talent. Teamwork is core to our way of working and something that everyone can contribute to.

Training and development

We firmly believe that personal challenge, development and career progression allow the JCB team to realise their full potential. So we provide access to learning, guidance and assistance to ensure employees are encouraged to increase their knowledge, skills and experience. This can include internal training programmes, mentoring and coaching, and external training through to full support for professional development.

Rewards

We expect the very best from our team and they can expect the same from us. Our benefits package is one of the best, and the opportunities to develop are endless. Our team includes families that have worked here for generations reflecting the long term commitment we receive. But it’s not all work, we also include lifestyle benefits and 33 days holiday per year increasing to 38 with service.
