About the role
In support of our ambitious growth plans, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Heavy Line Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. With bold product and expansion goals over the next five years, we are seeking an individual who can lead the regional product growth strategy and make a tangible impact.
This role is ideal for a practical, product-oriented professional who can showcase our current range of JCB Excavators, Front Loaders and Compaction Equipment through expert demonstrations, technical presentations, and tailored machine solutions. You will also contribute to product development to support the future growth of our business.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the successful candidate will act as a key link between JCB and dealer sales teams, product marketing, engineering, and end users—ensuring that JCB’s value proposition is effectively communicated and realised in the field.
What does this role involve day to day?
Technical Sales Support
• Collaborate with regional and dealer sales teams to position JCB heavy machines effectively in tenders, presentations, and customer meetings.
•Provide pre-sales consultation and machine configuration recommendations tailored to customer needs and applications.
Machine Demonstrations
• Plan, coordinate, and execute live product demonstrations at customer sites, dealer yards, and trade events.
• Highlight key performance advantages, fuel efficiency, operator comfort, and total cost of ownership.
Customer & Dealer Engagement
• Train dealers and sales representatives on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
• Gather and analyse customer feedback to inform product development and regional marketing strategies.
Product Knowledge & Competitive Benchmarking
• Conduct market research, develop business cases, and engage with dealers and customers for product evaluation.
• Perform competitor analysis and benchmarking demonstrations as required.
Sales Enablement
• Develop and maintain high-quality sales tools and content, including marketing assets, technical datasheets, ROI calculators, and case studies.
• Support dealer capability development through joint visits and application analysis.
• Coordinate local dealer events and large-scale exhibitions.
After-Sales Integration
• Work closely with after-sales/service teams to ensure customer satisfaction post-sale, particularly during early machine lifecycle stages.
• Assist in resolving technical issues that may impact customer satisfaction and repeat business.
This will be suited to you if...
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales or product support within the construction equipment industry, preferably large excavators.
• You have a strong hands-on understanding of machine applications in construction, quarrying, and material handling.
• You have proven experience in conducting machine demonstrations and application evaluations.
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• You have a strong mechanical aptitude with a customer-focused mindset.
• You have a willingness to travel extensively within the region.
• You're proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• You're fluent in English and Russian languages.
