Whether you are joining us as a school leaver or someone looking for a career change, you will soon make an impact in our Materials department. Our experienced team are responsible for ensuring continuity of supply for parts to ensure our fast paced production line keeps running. This involves ordering and expediting parts in line with the operations systems in accordance with the planning lead times.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with local and international suppliers to ensure parts are delivered on time. It will be up to you to build and develop relationships with suppliers, ensuring that they are able to turn around our requirements to the perfect quality at the perfect price, and within the perfect timeframe. As well as working with external suppliers, you will have the chance to work with several internal functions within the organisation to solve problems when issues arise.

A key role within the materials function is always looking for a better way to do the job through identifying ways in which systems and processes can be improved. This position is key in delivering a wide variety of products to Construction, Agriculture and Waste Recycling, so without the parts these machines will not be produced. 

The role will develop your problem solving, negotiating and people skills to an incredibly high standard, you will become an expert in ensuring planning schedules are done in time to produce machines. As well as learning to be proficient in all of the elements listed above, you will be exposed to a network of highly skilled people that will help you grow and develop as a materials planner, which will set you up for a highly successful career. 

You will be doing a real job with important business-critical outcomes, have an opportunity to make a difference, all the while working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification, which is recognised across all sectors. Where university graduates will have to prove themselves once they start a career, you will already have already developed essential professional skills by the time you qualify. And with a company that is famous all over the world.  A company and role within it which enables you to drive your career forward at a pace which you are capable of achieving, enables diversification into specialist roles or apply to travel to every corner of the world in support of new and exciting products.    

Training takes place with one of our dedicated training providers, who pride themselves on providing 1-1 learning. You will have dedicated academic support to ensure you make the very most of your development.  And, once you qualify, you will have real business experience, exposure to how a fast pace organisation works, and knowledge of the day-to-day workings of how your role contributes to overall business objectives.

You will bring dedication, passion and a real desire to succeed. Possessing strong problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a high performing team, you will also be confident working autonomously and will be driven to get results. Working within a fast paced environment means you need to relish a challenge and have a can do attitude.  

To apply, you will also need Level 2 English & Maths or be willing to achieve them prior to taking your End Point Assessment.
