About the role 

Shape the global pricing strategy behind one of the world’s most recognised brands.  

We are looking for a commercially focused and analytical Senior Commercial Analyst to join JCB’s Aftersales Commercial team, based at our World Parts Centre business unit in Uttoxeter.  

The Aftersales Commercial Team play a key role in driving sales and profitability, while offering our customers the very best prices. As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing our global parts pricing strategy, analysing large and complex data sets to provide actionable insight, reporting, systems management and process improvement. You will be involved in every stage of our commercial process – from analysing our competitors, to modelling different pricing strategies, and finally measuring the commercial success of our pricing decisions.  

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, this is a varied, highly visible and cross functional role where you will be working closely with Sales, Purchasing, Product & Finance Teams to deliver on key business needs. Overseas travel may be required. 

What does this role involve day to day? 

• Supporting Sales with pricing, campaigns, market support requests and other commercial activities. 
• Analysing and interpreting product and pricing trends, communicating recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. 
• Working with Sales, Purchasing, Product & Finance Teams to develop and present new pricing strategies that meet the business needs. 
• Reporting and delivering insights for the business. 
• Improving data quality, reporting accuracy and business controls across commercial operations. 
• Maintaining and developing new analytics tools, reporting and models. 
• Analysing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement. 
• Manipulating large scale, high-dimensional data to meet business needs and influence business decisions. 

This role will be suited to you if…  

• You have strong commercial awareness and can confidently analyse data to support business decisions. 
• You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, modelling and data analysis. 
• You have experience developing and maintaining databases, commercial systems or reporting tools. 
• You have strong numeracy and financial analysis skills, with an understanding of pricing, profitability and forecasting. 
• You are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. 
• You have excellent communication skills and can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels. 
• You enjoy solving problems, challenging existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement. 
• You have an understanding of the relationship between Sales, Finance, Operations and wider business functions. 
• You are self-motivated, proactive and driven to deliver business results. 
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are willing to travel internationally when required.
