About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Leader to join our Assembly team at JCB World Headquarters. This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, responsible for ensuring production activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
As a Group Leader, you’ll lead and develop a team to achieve operational targets while driving a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of customer requirements and helping to maintain JCB's world-class manufacturing standards.
 

Please note: You must be flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including days and nights, to meet operational requirements.

 

What does this role involve day to day?

Co-ordinating daily production activities to meet customer requirements and production plans.

Monitoring and improving performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment (SQDCPE) metrics.

Leading, motivating and developing team members to promote high levels of engagement, accountability and morale.

Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, optimise processes and reduce waste.

Ensuring full compliance with company policies, procedures and Health & Safety legislation.

Making effective decisions to resolve operational challenges and maintain production performance.

Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to achieve shared objectives.

Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and operational excellence in a busy production environment.

 

This will be suited to you if…

You have experience working in a high-volume production or manufacturing environment.

You have previous team leadership or supervisory experience.

You possess strong organisational skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.

You are an excellent communicator and can build positive working relationships at all levels of the business.

You have a collaborative, team-focused approach and enjoy supporting others to succeed.

You are passionate about driving continuous improvement and delivering operational excellence.

You have a proven ability to maintain high standards of safety, quality and performance within a fast-paced environment.
