About the role:

As a Maintenance Group Leader at JCB World Headquarters, you’ll lead a skilled maintenance team supporting manufacturing, assembly, and paint operations within a fast-paced machine division. This is a pivotal role where you will drive a proactive maintenance culture, ensuring production assets are optimised for maximum availability, efficiency, and performance. 

What does this role involve day to day?

• Leading and coordinating a maintenance team to support manufacturing, assembly, and paint processes, aligned with business priorities 
• Championing a proactive maintenance approach, including the development and implementation of a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy 
• Ensuring all systems and equipment are maintained to the highest Health and Safety standards, protecting both engineers and equipment users 
• Monitoring performance through KPIs, using data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement 
• Developing team capability by enhancing the skills and technical knowledge of maintenance engineers 
• Collaborating with Team Leaders to allocate resources effectively, ensuring repairs are completed by suitably skilled personnel 
• Managing people processes including performance reviews, return-to-work interviews, recruitment, disciplinary procedures, and attendance 
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of new technologies 
• Overseeing contractor inductions and ensuring safe working practices are followed on site

• You have strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge, with proven leadership experience

• You thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can prioritise effectively 
• You are committed to maintaining high Health and Safety standards
