About the role:
As Operations Manager for JCB Attachments at the World Parts Centre, you’ll take full responsibility for leading and developing the operations function to deliver best-in-class performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment (SQDCPE).
You’ll play a critical role in shaping and executing the operational strategy, supporting both current business needs and future growth through capital investment planning, New Product Introduction (NPI), and alignment to the 5-Year Plan (5YP). This role requires a strong, people-focused leader who can drive operational excellence, ensure product availability globally, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
What does this role involve day to day?
• Lead the operations team to deliver best practice across all SQDCPE metrics
• Maintain the highest standards of safety management and compliance across all operations
• Develop and implement a growth and capital investment strategy aligned to the 5YP and NPI requirements
• Manage and continuously improve operational KPIs to ensure efficient and effective processes
• Collaborate with Sales to develop robust forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
• Ensure global product availability across JCB warehouses to meet customer demand and sales plans
• Optimise stock profiles across global distribution networks to drive efficiency and service levels
• Establish, document, and review process controls to achieve operational excellence
• Leverage forecasting technologies to deliver world-class aftermarket demand planning
• Align attachments operations strategy with the wider global 4DC strategy
• Define and deliver key operational activities in support of business growth plans
• Develop, mentor, and coach team members, building capability and succession plans
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees and GMB union representatives
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, engagement, and high performance
• Remain agile and resilient in response to changing customer demands and operational challenges
