About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to play a key role within our operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the ongoing financial health and strategic growth of the business. You will play a key role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, and supporting decision-making across the organisation.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining strong financial governance, supporting operational teams, and delivering insight that enables business growth and efficiency.

What does this role involve day to day?
• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws and internal policies
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial performance to drive profitability
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making and growth strategies
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard company assets
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiencies
• Continuously improve financial systems, processes and reporting
• Support operational teams, including procurement and supply chain, on financial activity and contract management
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial strategy with business objectives
• Provide financial insight to support strategic initiatives and long-term growth
You’ll be successful in this role if you have:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• A professional qualification (CA or CPA)
• Proven experience in financial management, ideally within a capital goods import distribution environment
• Strong financial acumen, leadership capability and strategic thinking
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to influence stakeholders
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
