The Opportunity- Global Major Accounts & Municipalities Sales Manager – JCB Australia
About the role:
As the Global Major Accounts & Municipalities Sales Manager for JCB Australia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how JCB engages with Australia’s largest public‑sector and enterprise customers. As JCB transitions from a distributor‑led model to a dedicated Australian subsidiary, this role will directly influence our commercial strategy, customer relationships and long‑term growth across councils, municipalities, utilities, major accounts and government sectors. Reporting to the General Manager – Global Major Accounts and working closely with global teams, you will lead national engagement, position JCB’s full equipment portfolio and strengthen our presence across high‑value public‑sector channels.
What does this role involve day to day?
Leading national engagement with major accounts, municipalities, councils, utilities and government bodies.
Building long‑term relationships with senior decision‑makers across public and enterprise customer groups.
Developing and executing commercial strategies that align global priorities with local opportunities.
Positioning JCB’s full product offering, including construction, compact, access and sustainability‑focused machines.
Leading tender responses, procurement frameworks and multi‑year commercial agreements.
Working with global JCB teams to share best practice, integrate insights and elevate regional execution.
Supporting the setup and growth of JCB’s new subsidiary model, including dealer support and territory planning.
Representing JCB at customer meetings, industry events, machinery demonstrations and strategic engagements.
Acting as a key voice in how JCB builds reputation, presence and partnerships across the Pacific region.
This will be suited to you if…
You have proven experience in major accounts, public‑sector sales or municipal/government procurement environments.
You understand heavy equipment, construction machinery or civil infrastructure markets.
You are confident managing long‑cycle deals, complex tenders and strategic frameworks.
You excel at building strong relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
You combine strategic thinking with hands‑on commercial drive.
You’re comfortable working in a fast‑growing, newly transitioning subsidiary environment.
You’re proactive, adaptable and motivated by building something new.
You’re willing to travel frequently and represent JCB with professionalism across Australia.
