The Opportunity- Aftersales General Manager – JCB Australia
About the role:
As the Aftersales General Manager for JCB Australia, you’ll lead the strategy, performance and growth of JCB’s aftersales business across the region. This is a pivotal senior role responsible for maximising revenue, strengthening dealer and customer engagement, and driving the long‑term success of JCB’s aftersales products and services.
Working within a global brand built on 80 years of innovation, you’ll shape and execute the aftersales growth strategy in line with JCB Australia’s Five‑Year Plan. You’ll lead a high‑performing team, expand market reach and ensure JCB’s aftersales offering remains competitive, customer‑focused and commercially successful.
What does this role involve day to day?
Developing and delivering the national aftersales strategy to drive revenue, profitability and market share.
Leading growth across all channels (direct, dealer and strategic accounts).
Creating sales proposals, setting forecasts and achieving commercial targets.
Promoting aftersales parts, products and services to existing and prospective customers.
Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify new revenue streams and growth opportunities.
Analysing the existing customer base and optimising sales performance through dealer and direct channels.
Preparing and delivering presentations showcasing JCB Australia’s aftersales strengths, opportunities and financial projections.
Building, leading and developing a high‑performing aftersales team.
Collaborating with internal teams to align aftersales initiatives with broader business strategy.
Supporting sales teams with training, product knowledge and marketing collateral.
Managing relationships with customers, dealers, vendors and strategic partners.
Negotiating commercial agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Travelling nationwide to support customers, dealers and field activities (approx. 40%).
This will be suited to you if…
You have at least 7 years’ experience in sales, marketing or aftersales roles within a similar industry.
You hold a bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline (master’s degree preferred).
You bring strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of aftersales operations.
You're an experienced leader with the ability to motivate teams, influence decisions and drive performance.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage dealers, customers and senior stakeholders.
You're highly analytical and comfortable interpreting data, identifying trends and shaping strategic decisions.
You have experience developing long‑term aftersales strategies and delivering measurable commercial results.
You're confident negotiating contracts and managing key partnerships.
You thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively.
You're willing to travel regularly and represent JCB Australia with professionalism and energy.
