About the Role
Reporting to the Group XP Supervisor, you’ll join a highly skilled and passionate team dedicated to developing innovative solutions and supporting JCB’s future growth. This role is based at Rocester and offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge prototype builds and product development.
What Does This Role Involve Day to Day?
As an XP Development Fitter, you’ll be hands-on with the design and development of current and future JCB products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Prototype Builds: Constructing prototypes and test rigs for new product development.
- Machine Preparation: Getting machines ready for testing and evaluation.
- Diagnostics & Repair: Servicing and repairing validation machines both on-site and off-site.
- Technical Skills: Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Fabrication: Welding and fabrication experience would be an advantage.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Maintaining Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and keeping your work area organized.
- Auction Support: Assisting with JCB auction activities.
This Will Be Suited to You If…
- You have proven experience in the off-highway machinery service sector.
- You possess strong knowledge of drivetrain, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic systems.
- You hold relevant technical qualifications or equivalent experience.
- You bring an enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a sense of urgency and a desire to succeed.
- You’re a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- You have a positive, “can-do” mindset
What happens next?
Ordinarily, our Resourcing Team reviews and shortlists CVs. If shortlisted, you’ll speak to one of our Recruiters to discuss the role further.
