About the role:

We are recruiting for a Principal Development Engineer to join our Telehandler Test and Development department. You’ll play a key role in developing our future range of cutting-edge Rotating Telehandlers, working within a passionate and hands-on engineering team.

What does this role involve day to day?

· Leading the development of next-generation rotating telehandlers from concept through to production.

· Planning, executing, and analysing machine and component testing using data acquisition systems.

· Collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues and optimize machine performance.

· Writing and approving test reports, managing DVPSOR, and resolving PCMs.

· Designing and commissioning test rigs and interpreting customer/test driver feedback to inform design improvements.

· Working with complex systems including engines, hydraulics, electronics, and software.

This will be suited to you if:

· You have a degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

· You’re a practical, hands-on engineer with a deep understanding of machine systems and functional safety.

· You’re a strong communicator, comfortable leading a small team, and have a methodical approach to problem-solving.

· You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven by innovation and continuous improvement.
