About the role:
We are searching for an experienced and driven Ecommerce Trading Manager to lead our online trading strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our ecommerce efforts, driving traffic to our new Parts Ecommerce Website as well as driving awareness and buy-in to our parts products. The ideal candidate is a data-driven ecommerce trader with proven track record of hands-on activities that drive success, possessing a deep understanding of online trading, digital marketing, and customer acquisition strategies.
What does this role involve day to day?
Strategic Focus:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive ecommerce strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, technologies, and market opportunities within the ecommerce landscape.
• Set ambitious yet achievable goals for ecommerce to meet the growth expectations of the business
• Work on strategies to deliver increased user experience and attract a wider audience beyond our normal customers
Trading Activities:
• Hands on management of pages, copy and content
• Work with supporting teams to continually improve the UX/UI of the ecommerce platform
• Work with implementation team to roll out the online website globally
• Oversee all aspects of online trading campaigns, including content creation, advertising, promotions, and analytics.
• Analyse competition, customer behaviour, and market trends to optimize campaign performance and maximize ROI.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including advertising agencies, vendors, and partners.
• Work on campaign activities and automation around key goals within the ecommerce site to deliver increased sales.
• Liaise regularly with dealers to collaboratively uncover development opportunities to capture additional sales
Customer Acquisition:
• Work with the digital marketing manager to implement a robust traffic strategy to the website
• Manage and optimize website traffic, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
• Stay abreast of the latest ecommerce trends and technologies.
Customer Experience:
• Create a seamless and engaging online customer experience that fosters loyalty and drives repeat purchases.
• Oversee customer service operations, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and issues.
• Analyse customer feedback and data to identify areas for improvement in the online customer journey.
Content:
• Create page content and minor designs in-house to speed efficiency.
• Confidence working to brand guidelines and adopting brand tone.
• Experience briefing in agencies for higher-end campaign content.
• Liaise with agency on SEO content
Stakeholder Management:
• Coordinate peer group and other departments to enable great digital content.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
This will be suited to you if
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• You have a proven track record of success within ecommerce, with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on Trading experience.
• You're confident getting stuck in – fail fast philosophy with a sales driven mindset
• You have content creation experience to enable fast and nimble trading
• You have a deep understanding of ecommerce best practices and online trading strategies
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
