About the role:
We are looking for a diligent and detail-orientated Compliance Assistant to join our Team. The successful candidate, with the support of external Consultants, will support the Senior Management in ensuring that our Insurance Brokerage adheres to all FCA Regulations and internal policies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate, someone returning to work or someone with an interest in regulation looking to start their career in Compliance.
What does this role involve day to day?
· Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programmes
· Conduct internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with FCA regulations
· Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as: Complaints, Audit Reports, Gift Register, Financial Promotions etc.
· Oversee and maintain company training records and allocate learning modules to staff as required
· Support the preparation of reports for Senior Management and External Regulatory bodies
· Stay informed about industry changes, trends and best practices to assess their impact on organisational processes
·Stay informed about changes in the regulatory environment to assess their impact on the business and its organisational processes.
· Help develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance programme
· Provide administration support to Senior Management and Compliance Consultants, including record keeping and managing compliance logs
· Collaborate with internal and external auditors during compliance reviews
This will be suited to you if you have
· Strong interest and agreement to develop understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements in the insurance industry
· Excellent organisational and administrative skills
· Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
