About the role:
We are looking for a Control Room Operator to work in the JCB Security Control Room and join our dedicated and motivated team based at World Headquarters. The successful candidate will show a high level of self motivation and ability to make decisions under pressure while adhering to guidelines, policies and procedures. They must be a strong team player and flexible with 24/7 shift working, have strong communication skills and be able to deal with people professionally and courteously at all levels of the company.
Shifts are 12 hours on a 4 on 4 off pattern with a float month every 5 months
Ideally they will have experience in CCTV and hold a relevant CCTV SIA Licence as well as an SIA Door Supervisors Licence
What does this role involve day to day?
· Monitoring of CCTV
· CCTV investigations
· Dealing with large amount of telephone calls and intercom calls in a professional and courteous manner
· Receiving and dealing with intruder and fire alarms
· Prioritising jobs deploying Security Staff accordingly
· Accurate recording of all occurrences
· Incident report writing
· Monitoring the Security Operation across the Group
· Ensuring the Safety and Welfare of all Security staff on duty
·Strict compliance with Data Protection / GDPR policies
· Other Front Line Security duties as required
This will be suited to you if
· You are an Excellent Communicator
· You are a team player
· You have CCTV experience
· You are computer literate
· You Have knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR
· Ability to work and make and make important decisions under pressure
· You have a security background but not essential
· Ideally hold CCTV and Door Supervisors SIA licence but not essential
·Have the capacity to work 12 hour shift pattern covering nights and week
