What does this role involve day to day?
•Deliver effective risk management within one of our Staffordshire Business units, including ensuring risk reduction and mitigation measures are implemented on site and there is appropriate emergency preparedness
• Ensure compliance to site HS&E legal requirements, JCB policies and international Health, Safety and Environmental management standards
• Monitor and act upon site HS&E performance trends to develop objectives and deliver improvement plans
• Identify site HS&E competence requirements and provide the necessary training, through your team
• Report and investigate all site HS&E incidents, near misses and hazard spots and follow up improvement actions
• Further develop the site HS&E culture and drive effective site HS&E governance within the business
This will be suited to you if
• You have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent relevant degree.
• You have extensive, proven experience working within HS&E in particular operating at HS&E Manager (or similar) level.
• You have an understanding of environmental management would be an advantage.
• You must have experience of health & safe – customer facing dealing with members of the public.
• You are computer literate and willing to travel extensively within the UK when required.
• You are enthusiastic, show commitment and have a sense of urgency and passion for continual improvement and best practice HS&E management
