This role is for JCB Power Products but based at JCB Cab Systems.

Overview of the role

JCB Power Products is seeking a highly skilled mechanical design engineer with a specialism in Canopy to lead the design, analysis, and development of canopy systems for our power products. The successful candidate will bring expertise in complex assemblies, air management, and innovative manufacturing methods, combined with leadership capabilities.

What does this role involve day to day?

• Serving as the subject matter expert for canopy systems, ensuring best practices and innovative solutions.

• Developing layouts and concepts that optimize performance, aesthetics, and functionality.

• Performing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for air management and thermal optimization.

• Designing and developing robust interfaces, joints, and access systems for canopy assemblies.

• Leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.

• Creating detailed 2D drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Designing complex assemblies using alternative manufacturing methods, including mouldings and large fabrications. systems.

This will be suited to you if

• You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• You have proven experience in designing canopy systems, air management, and complex assemblies.

• You have strong knowledge of CFD tools, GD&T, and alternative manufacturing methods.
