This role is for JCB Power Products but based at JCB Cab Systems.

Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced mechanical design engineer with a specialism in Baseframe & Fuel Tanks to join JCB Power Products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and development of large fabrications and fuel systems, with a focus on durability, manufacturability, and functionality.

What does this role involve day to day?

• Act as the subject matter expert for baseframe and fuel tank systems.

• Developing innovative layouts and concepts that align with project requirements

• Performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and durability.

• Designing and analysing complex fabrications, including baffling for fuel tanks.

• Specifying and integrating fuel systems to meet performance and compliance standards.

• Ensuring designs are optimized for efficient manufacturing and assembly.

• Producing detailed 2D drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

This will be suited to you if

• You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• You have extensive experience with large fabrications, fuel systems, and structural analysis.

• You are proficient in FEA tools and design optimization techniques.

• You have strong understanding of DFMA principles and GD&T standards.
