Overview of the role

JCB Transmissions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Driveline Calibration Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance, efficiency, and durability of driveline systems through detailed calibration and validation work. Your expertise will directly contribute to the delivery of world-class products that exceed customer expectations.

What does this role involve day to day?

·       Developing and executing driveline calibration strategies for transmission, torque converters, and axle systems

·       Optimizing vehicle performance for drivability, fuel efficiency, and emissions compliance across varied operating conditions

·       Developing calibration maps and parameters using specialized tools (e.g., ETAS INCA, Vector CANape).

·       Working closely with control systems engineers to refine software algorithms for driveline control.

This will be suited to you if

·       You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

·       You have proficiency in troubleshooting driveline systems and addressing performance challenges

·       You have solid knowledge of automotive driveline systems, including automatic and powershift transmissions.

·       You thrive from working on advanced driveline systems and innovative technologies
