An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a dynamic team managing 2,000 ewes, both pedigree and commercial alongside a store lambing enterprise from forage, based on our beautiful 5500-acre Wootton Estate on the Staffordshire / Derbyshire border with fantastic facilities including state of the art recording systems for genetics and grazing management.
About Us
We recognise that future growth and success are shaped by our team’s ambition and looking after our land and animals is really at the heart of what we do. You will report into our Assistant Farm Manager and will be required to maintain flexibility to working hours to meet deadlines.
About you
The successful candidate must have previous experience with large sheep numbers and be a team player with a vision in the development of long-term flock genetics. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the flock, grassland management and must be able to deliver to the highest animal welfare standards, with good working dogs and a clean driving licence.
